i want to show those younger than me that curves are dangerous. that a hip can stretch a pair of boxers in unimaginable ways. they that are perfect the way they are. i want to say that staying on pajamas all day is not terrible. that i can be depressed and perfect and broken and happy all at the same time. that this can be sexy.

i have things i want to say to my body.

that she is not ugly. that she is not bad or unwanted. that someone will touch her the way she needs them to. that she can say no to a touch she doesn’t want. i want to remind her of the time she walked for five hours without direction. or the time she rode horses and picked flowers and cut herself on a piece of sea glass. i want to tell her she can cry. that her tears are good and okay and doesn’t make her weak.
